I have a problem with Office 2000 trying to open files
from drives other than C:\. You can open a Word or Excel
or any other file if it resides on the C:\ drive. If you
go into Open and select a drive other than C:\ and try
to open the file it kicks you out of the program.
If you copy the file from the another drive to C:\
the file will open without a problem. If you double
click on a file from another drive it will open up
in the appropriate office program. You can view it but
if you try and save it to anther drive other than C:\
It kicks you out of the program.
You can open- modify and save files to the C: drive
without a problem.
Any ideas on what the problem is and is there a fix ?
