Problem pasting text and pictures

Hi

I have noticed something strange on Word 2004 for Mac. The other day, I
found an intersting spcae technology article that I wanted to save. There
was text and pictures in it. I selected and copied all. When I pasted it
into an empty word document, only the text was actually pasted, not the
pictures. This doesn't happen if I do the same on my PC. CAn anyone explain
this rather odd behavior?

Regards,
Fredrik

Were you copying and pasting from a Word doc, or from online? I've always
thought that's a function of how selection works on browsers--select all
doesn't select the pictures when I do it in Internet Explorer under Mac OS
9. Usually that's what I prefer, if I am copying. To save with pictures,
you should use the Save function in the web browser, I think.

I copied from the web browser. The only way to get the pictures as well is
to do a second copy and paste.
I can use the Save function, but then I ge t something that won't open on a
PC. I want to save certain articles
such that I can open them on any platform.
