I've been building a presentation in PPT2003. Many slides contain tables
(created in PPT). I often use the Fill command to fill a cell within the
table with a color or shade of grey. This had been working fine until now.
Every time I fill a cell within the table, the fill takes on a 3D quality.
This happens with every new table that I create. If I copy and paste a table
from earlier in the presentation, the table reacts properly and I can fill
cells with expected results. But if I select Insert/Table to create a new
table, then select a cell and click the Fill icon, the fill is 3D. I can not
find a setting anywhere to correct this behavior.
The 3-D Style button is not active for the table, nor does it let me select
a 3-D depth for the cell or table.
I am baffled.
My work around was to open a new PPT, select the proper background style
(template), and copy and paste the slides from the old presentation to the
new one. Now when I Insert/Table and fill a cell, I get the expected
results.
So I am good to go but curious as to how/why the first version went bad.
Ideas?
