Problem printing Word-document with PowerPoint-slide(embedded obje

Using Office 2003.
Printing a document with the option "Update filelds", changes all EMBED
PowerPoint Slide -objects to following error -> Error! Objects cannot be
created from editing field codes.

I can avoid this using a diffrent way to paste a slide, as a picture or a link
or to print document without the "Update fields" option.

I'm interested to know why the error happens anyhow?
