Problem refreshing shapes linked to database

Hi, further to my 2 earlier posts, I've continued to play with the code
and have tried 4 different methods:

1. myVisioAppln.Addons("Database Refresh").Run
("")
2. myVisioAppln.Addons("Database Refresh
Shape").Run ("")
3. myVisioAppln.Addons("Database Select
Record").Run ("")
4. myVisioShape.Cells("Actions.Row_1").Trigger

None of them work. They all run in a split second, implying nothing
was actually updated. When I check to see which are enabled, only #1
is disabled.

I'd really appreciate some help / suggestions.
