I recently got a new computer with Win XP Pro.
I'm having a problem with Access 2000. When I try to open some
databases (that ran successfully with the same software installed on
my old computer with Win98SE), I get an error message that I'm trying
to use a network feature that is not available, and instructions to
enter the path to the folder containing the installation package
DAO.msi.
I've searched the old computer and can't find this file, nor can I
find it anywhere on the new computer, the Access 2000 CD, or the SR-1
patch CD.
Another point.... If I simply hit cancel a few times when the error
message pops up. the database eventually opens and seems to be fine.
Anyone have any idea what is going on, and how to fix this?
