Problem reinstalling Office 2002

R

Rick

We bought an academic copy of Office XP 2002 Professional for my daughter a
couple of years ago. We recently upgraded her to a new computer for
college, but when I reinstalled the product on the new computer, it wouldn't
let me do the online activation because it said "According to our records,
this copy of Microsoft Office XP Professional has already been activated on
another computer." How do I get around this? We no longer use the old
computer that originally had the software on it, so how do I transfer the
registration? Is there a way to uninstall the software on the original
computer and de-register it? What happens if the original computer is not
usable?

Use the telephone activation method to speak to
an activation technician.
