Problem reinstalling Office XP after Files and settings tranfer

I've built a new computer (XP SP2 OS) and transferred files and settings from
my old one (Win 98SE OS). Now the Office XP CD setup program will only
install Windows Media files not Office. Where do I look to find out how to
get the system to allow this install?
