Problem removing test drive

C

ColinMT

I recently purchased MS Office and have tried to delete test drive
from my 15" Powerbook running OS 10.3 before installing. I have
not used the test drive on the laptop since I already appreciate
the quality of the software. Unfortunately when I try to remove
test drive using the directions supplied I get an error window that
says "PBCatSearchSync() -1304", which is then followed by another
message saying "unable to find test drive on your disk". I am an
OS 10.3 newbie which may be part of the problem, but if anyone
has suggestions to help me out they would be greatly appreciated.

I posted an identical question a few moments ago. Just found this Q&A.

Jim - I followed the instructions on the referenced URL exactly, but get the
error message. This is the second time (different system) I've received this
error.

In both cases I was attempting an uninstall of the test drive from a
PowerBook G4 Aluminum, OSX 10.3.1.

Thanks for the info. I'll submit it.

In that case you should consider calling Microsoft's support or at least
report the problem via this URL (you'll only get an automated reply,
though)...
