I'm using Office 2000 and am trying to set up various
HTML templates in Outlook. I've designed the messages and
then "save as" .oft files in the templates folder. This
works most of the time but ocassionally they save as a
text file and all the HTML formatting is lost. I thought
it may have been due to invalid HTML and sometimes
correcting this worked, but with this one file I can't
get it to save correctly.
I've checked the HTML and it's OK - the only difference
with it is that it contains quite a few lines of text and
I'm wondering if there are restrictons on the number of
lines for a template? The file size is only about 26kb so
I don't think that's the problem. I've tried cutting out
chunks of it and it will then save OK, but I need that
info to be in the template. Anyone come across this
problem (I've searched thru the postings but can't find
anything)- any workarounds or things to try?
