I just installed Office 2k7, and love it...have loved it due to having the
Beta. I was using the Beta for about 3 months and never had a problem.
About 3 weeks ago I started getting an error when trying to save, or re-save
a project on our office server. The error would be:
"[file path/name] is currently in use. Try again later."
There was nobody in the office at the time, so there wasn't a share
violation. At least not a share violation with another co-worker. Now, this
error only comes about when trying to save Office doc's, which includes
Publisher and Excel files as well. I cannot use the "Save As.." function to
save the files to the server either. I have to save them onto my personal
computer, then copy them over.
I CAN create new .txt documents on the server, edit and re-save with NO
issues.
I'm running XPPro SP2
Office 2k7
Server is:
MSServer 2k3 for Small Business, fully updated.
I've found a couple of forum's that have had the same problem spring up,
with no real solutions.
