Problem saving

Hi,
My Powerpoint sometimes (not always) refuses to overwrite the older file when I use the command-S "Save". The only way I can save the file is via "Save as" option giving file a new name/ Any idea what could be the problem?

Without knowing what version of the program or OS X you're using or what
their respective update levels are it's hard to venture a guess. Also, what
do you mean by "refuses"... Does it run & hide? Does it growl at you??? If
there is a message, how does it read? You need to provide clear detail about
what is/isn't happening relative to what you expect.
