Problem securing my DB *7142008

Dear All,

I have a DB with a size of aprrox 1.1 GB,it's that big cause it contains my
products with pics stored as OLE objects.
When trying to secure it or even part of it the file "CRASHES(DOES NOT
RESPOND)"! The reason I want to secure it is because I don't want it to be
available on another computer in case somebody copies it without my
permission!
If it's impossible to secure can somebody provide me with some code that I
can use to protect it f.e that the file only opens when on computer"XX"!

Hope you can help me out

Can you compact the MDB? Have you tried importing it into a new MDB?

Dear Tony ,

I compacted the mdb which worked, and then I started the user level security
wizard and I left it for 4 hours but still when I came back it was still busy
"enhancing security" !
When I try importing the biggest table in another db the same thing happens
,it gets stuck,is there something else I can try?

Dear Tony,

I tried it again but this time I only secured forms, and macros, and it
worked!! although tables, queries and reports are not secured the mdb has
some level of protection , Main thing is that the mdb will not open on a
standard workgroup file!

I have very little practical experience with Access security. I'd
strongly suggest you explain your situation and ask further questions
in the Access security newsgroup.
