problem sending appointments to multiple users

using Outlook 2007 I have trouble sending appointment to multiple users, is
there a setting I'm over looking? Outlook freezes and shuts downs when I try.
Others in our organization have the same problem.

Are the users internal to your Exchange organization or are they external?
Have you sent e-mail to these recipients before? Do their addresses resolve
if you press Control+K?
