PROBLEM SENDING EMAILS TO GROUPS

I'm suddenly experiencing problems sending emails to Groups of suppliers.

When sending emails the mail shows in the out box but sits there for several
minutes and eventualy fails with a Time Out message, however the recipients
actually receive the original email together with multiple copies of it and
this is beginning to hack them off.

Emails to individual recipients cause no problems.

I'm using Outlook 2003

Any help would be much appreciated

Do you scan outgoing messages with an antivirus scanner? If so, disable it.
Also lengthen the server timeout value on the Advanced tab of the account
properties (for a non-Exchange account).
