Problem shutting down

After outlook has been shut down and I go to shut down my compluter I get a
message that Outlook is not reponding. So if you wait it never shits down so
I have ended now. Then if you restart and go to outlook I get a message that
it did not shut down and goes into safe mode. If you open in safe the close
and reopen it's fine. All of this started after 2007 was installed. Any
suggestions to solve this problem?
