Problem synchronizing Active directory Users with PWA users

Hello,

I’m trying to set up the PWA users but unfortunately there is no
synchronization between Active Directory and PWA 2007...
If I go to the Server Setting panel (PWA 2007) -> Operational Policies
-> Active Directory Resource Pool Synchronization, I find the
following error:

"There was a problem accessing the Active Directory global catalog.
Check that the following are true. 1. The Shared Services Provider
(SSP) server can access an Active Directory domain controller hosting
a copy of the global catalog. 2. The Windows account used for the SSP
service credentials can read from the global catalog."


What’s wrong??? What can I do???

Vit,

Is the SSP application pool running under a local server account ? If so,
change it to an account which has read permissions to Active Directory.

To check whether the account can read AD, open AD Users & Computers
(Start>Run>DSA.MSC)from the server whilst logged on under the account being
used by the SSP.
