Problem trying to activate PWA from Sharepoint

Hello everyone,

We've installed SharePoint 2007 and Project Server 2007.
Now I have to create the Project Web Access. I understand that, to do that,
I need to create a new SSP first.

So I proceeded to create this new SSP. It asks me to choose an Web
Application or to create a new one. There are none in the combo, so I try to
create a new one. It takes me to another page that says: Illegal characters
in path.

So, I cannot create the SSP to get what I want

Anyone would know how I could solve this problem?
