I am not familiar with .xlt. I know that .xls works fine.

I have Stuffit expander and Office for Mac.

Each time I try and download this file it Hangs.

I know its OK as I have used it elsewhere.

Can you suggest a way aI can get the file to download?

Many Thanks

David

Well - first off - these are both Excel file types & you've posted to the
Mac Word newsgroup, so I'm going to suggest that you post the issue at
microsoft.public.mac.office.excel, but just for clarification:

The .xlt extension indicates that the file is an Excel template file - a
file on which new workbook files (.xls) are based. In order to answer your
question it would be helpful to know the following, so include this info
when you post to the Excel group:

1- What version of Office? Is it fully updated?

2- Which version of Mac OS/ Is it fully updated?

3-From *where* are you trying to "download" the file & exactly what do you
mean by the term "download"? Please describe exactly what type of process
you're using.

4- Is the .xlt on a network server, a web site? Please supply details.

Hello,
further more what to CyberTaz said.
You should not need Stuffit expander for *.xlt file - Stuffit is need
for unpacking cab file where the (*.xlt, *.dot, *.pot ) are packed.
Generally you should be able to open PC templates on MAc, however,
sometims some features might not be working as supposed.
The thing you have mentioned Each time I try and download this file it
Hangs, do you really downloding to your mac or just trying to open it
from the location where it is, instead? As CyberTaz mention we need to
know HOW you download, or better if you can send a link.
