I have developed a Data Access Page (Access 2002 on WinXP), and put it on a website on my PC (using IIS). I can successfully use the DAP to update the db from another XP PC on the Intranet
I now want to allow a user on the INTERNET to access the DAP and DB. He has Win NT 4.0, IE 5.5, and Office 97 installed
The first time he tried it he got an error – “This page requires the Microsoft Office Web Components. See the Microsoft Office web site for more informationâ€
From that website it appears that he should be able to use Office Web Components to access a Data Access Page ok. So he downloaded the OWC10.exe and Data Access Components 2.5 as instructed on the website. They both appeared to install without errors
However, he still got the “This page requires the MS Office Web Components†error
He then tried downloading the latest version of the Data Access Components from the website, but still gets the same error
Has anyone got any ideas what I can check or do to fix this error
Thank
