I am a subscriber to SBC Yahoo DSL service. When my
computer is directly connected to the DSL modem, I can
send/receive e-mail from Outlook without any problems.
In other words, I'm confident that my POP3 and SMTP
settings are working fine.
I recently purchased a Linksys WRT54G wireless router.
After setting up the router, I can continue to connect to
the internet just fine, but I can no longer send/receive
e-mails in Outlook. Every time I click on
the "Send/Receive" button, I get a message
containing "Error 678" and indicatingthat there was no
answer from the remote host. It's amost as though
Outlook doesn't realize that I have a live internet
connection.
I've spent hours on the phone with Linksys Technical
Support and they have no answers. Has anyone experienced
this problem?
I'm running Office XP and using Windows XP Pro.
Thanks.
