Problem using Web publication page setup for WIDESCREEN.

I designed a website using Microsoft Publisher 2003 using a custom width and
height of 1000 and 1600 respectively. The webpage works effectively when
viewed in a normal screen. In the widescreen, all the objects in the webpage
looks scattered. I used the above width specification to make my webpage fit
the screen fully in the horizontal direction.
Kindly help me to rectify this problem. I feel this is a major issue to be
solved at the earliest as far as my website is concerned before re-hosting
into the server.

Thank You.

If you solve this problem, it will only look good on those who have wide
screen monitors with the same display settings as yours. Those with 800x600
will need to horizontally scroll to see all of the page.

That's fine. But, consider Microsoft website for example. It fits the screen
perfectly both in normal screen and widescreen. How is that possible?

One more question. When I browse my website, I find it very easy to copy all
the objects by using "select all" option and paste them in Microsoft word. Is
there any option available to restrict this? I ask this question because it
is possible for anyone who browse my website to plagarise my effort in
websire design. I mean, they can easily copy the gif images and pictures and
use it for their own purpose. Also, Can I encrypt my html file source using
Publisher 2003?

Also, I have added background sound to all the webpages. When I open my
website in Microsoft Internet Explorer, I can hear the sound and the view is
perfect. But I can not hear the music when I open the website in Mozilla
Firefox and there are lot of extra dots to background picture of all the
pages of my website.

Kindly suggest me with your valuable inputs.

Thanks.

Publisher is only suited for personal or non professional websites.
Microsoft wouldn't use it for their site.

Mr. Don,

I just took Microsoft as an example. I never had an intention to make any
comparison.

I request you give your valuble inputs for the other questions that I posted
in the previous question. I again will summarize my doubts below:

1. When I browse my website, I find it very easy to copy all
the objects by using "select all" option and paste them in Microsoft word. Is
there any option available to restrict this? I ask this question because it
is possible for anyone who browse my website to plagarise my effort in
website design. I mean, they can easily copy the gif images and pictures and
use it for their own purpose. Also, can I encrypt my html file source using
Publisher 2003?

2. I have added background sound to all the webpages. When I open my
website in Microsoft Internet Explorer, I can hear the sound and the view is
perfect. But I can not hear the music when I open the website in Mozilla
Firefox and there are lot of extra dots to background picture of all the
pages of my website.

3. How to align the webpage with the aspect ratio 800*600 in the middle of
the page (for example www.realsimple.com) ? Conventionally, the webpage takes
left alignment.

Kindly clarify my doubts. Thanks.
