Problem viewing CAD

When I try to import some dwg files nothing happens. I feel it may be
something to do with the version of either the CAD file or Visio. I am using
Visio 2002 Proffesional SP2

I do the following:

Open up a new visio file.
Select Insert
then from drop down menu select CAD Drawing..
browse to folder and file and select the dwg file.

Some files open others will not. Is there anything I can do. Thanks

It sounds like it could be a couple of different issues. Start by checking
the version of cad used to create the initial drawings, another could be
just size of the drawings.

It could be that the file is imported but either too big or too small to see
(check the Drawing Explorer window to see if a shape was created)
