Problem when archiving - some emails get distorted

Hi I have a Windows XP Pro SP2 computer with Outlook 2007 installed.
It is setup with my companies Exchange 2003 server. Whenever I auto-
archive old emails there are some that come out distorted. An example
is:

html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:eek:="urn:schemas-
microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:word" xmlns:st1="urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">

<head>
<meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=us-ascii">
<meta name=Generator content="Microsoft Word 11 (filtered medium)">
<!--[if !mso]> <style>
v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);}
o\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);}
w\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);}
..shape {behavior:url(#default#VML);}
</style>
<![endif]--><o:SmartTagType
namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags"
name="PersonName"/> <o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-
microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags"
name="address" downloadurl="http://www.5iamas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"/>
<o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"
name="City" downloadurl="http://www.5iamas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"/>
<o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"
name="State" downloadurl="http://www.5iamas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"/>
<o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"
name="PostalCode"
downloadurl="http://www.5iamas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"/>
<o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"
name="Street" downloadurl="http://www.5iantlavalampft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"/>
<o:SmartTagType namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:eek:ffice:smarttags"
name="place" downloadurl="http://www.5iantlavalamp.com/"/>

And this is only part of the email after it was archived. I believe
the problem might be connected to the format the email was in before
it was archived. I.E. some were plain text formatted emails and some
HTML. I do not use the MS Instant Search add-on. I instead use a
program called X-1 Desktop Search. I don't know if it might be having
an effect on the emails.

I am reaching out to the Outlook community for 2 reasons:

1. If anyone knows how to fix the problem emails?
2. Is there any way to prevent this from happening in the future?

As far as antivirus, I am currently using Avira but I doubt that it is
the cause of the problem as the same thing happened previously when I
had Symantec Corporate V.10 installed.

I would appreciate any assistance that you could give me.

Thank you,

Matis
