I have an Access 2000 front-end linked to a MySQL table. The MySQL table has
Latin5 (Turkish) character set fields in order to correctly store special
characters in the Turkish language.
I have a form in Access to enter data into the fields in this table. I enter
the Turkish characters into the field, they appear correctly on the form as
typed but when the records are committed they revert back to normal Western
European characters and the Turkish character is not stored in the database
itself but the Western European character instead. For example there is a
Turkish character 'S' with a dangley thing on the bottom - this reverts to a
normal 'S' and a Turkish 'i' which has no dot above it - this reverts to a
normal i.
This is happening on WinXP default langauge EN-GB but with Turkish language
support.
Any ideas please, it's driving me nuts.
TIA
