Problem with Active Cell Refence

I am just learning Macros & VBA.

I am designing a spreadsheet for picking and booking theatre seats.

Problem:

How do I get the active cell reference to show, of a selected seat,
either in a nominated cell or in a pop up message, but adjusted to
reflect offset seat rows and columns. e.g. The cell reference of Seat
A1 may be D5, seat A2 would be D6 and so on.

I want the actual seat no, not the actual cell reference.

The best I have managed so far is get the actual active cell reference
(which of course isn't the seat no) and then it appears as $A$1.

Hope this makes sense and isn't considered too trivial question.
