Help!
I have an addin writen in VB6 for Microsoft Project. I set the load behavior
to At Startup. Because I need admin privileges for my addin to be installed,
I set it up under the Local Machine registry key instead of Current user.
This has always worked fine in all versions of MSP for all OS's that we've
tried it under (except for the addin not being seen in the COM-Addins
dialog).
Now we've run into a problem. The addin is not loading under some machines
with Windows 2000/MSP 2000. When we try to manually change the load behavior
to 3 in regedit, it always changes back to 2. So we tried moving the addin
from the local machine registry branch to the current user branch and using
the COMAddins dialog to load it. The same thing happens. The addin won't
load.
What are we doing wrong? Is there some registry/protection item that could
be set to cause this behavior? The addin doesn't cause any errors that I can
see.
