problem with attachments attaching within email

Hello,

When I attach a photograph or file it attaches within my email NOT in the
bar at the top where is used to. My photo program icon is visible, no
picture. So I presume anyone not using my photo program would be unable to
open the picture?

I thought about uninstalling office 2003 then reinstalling to see if this
may help BUT I don't want to loose my emails?

Is there a way to cure this? Thank you in advance.

I'm by no means an expert but my first question would be if you have your
outlook email set to HTML....that makes a big difference where the
attachments show....at top for HTML and at end of email at bottom for plain
text.....to check this in outlook:
tools/Options/mail format/ message format (1st one) drop down box change to
HTML.
Other detail is what file extension are your photos ? program you are using
shouldnt matter. are you using XP or vista...that DOES make a difference???
