Problem with automatic formatting in views

Hello,

My company uses Office 2003 and Outlook 2003 for email. I receive a lot of
automatically generated email and use automatic formatting to highlight
certain messages.

I've run into a problem with certain items not triggering the automatic
formatting. The technique I'm using is the same for different views, and some
of them work, and some of them don't.

I have the messages in question stored in a PST, and I'm using the Advanced
tab of the Filter dialog to set the conditions I want for the automatic
formatting. I'm using multiple conditions, so that's why I'm using the
Advanced tab, and in all cases I'm looking for a string of text within the
message body.

The view that doesn't work is the one that searches for my manager's last
name. However, I did find one circumstance where the view worked and that was
when his name appeared in ALL CAPS in one message. In another instance, I set
the view to look for messages containing some server names and to bold the
subject of the message so I could identify it. This view does not work at all.

Any thoughts?

A minor correction. The view I have set to highlight messages containing
certain servers does work in one folder, but not another. The formatting of
the messages in both folders is different, so I'm wondering if that is
somehow the problem. I may be able to provide samples if anyone thinks it's
relevant.
