Hello,
My company uses Office 2003 and Outlook 2003 for email. I receive a lot of
automatically generated email and use automatic formatting to highlight
certain messages.
I've run into a problem with certain items not triggering the automatic
formatting. The technique I'm using is the same for different views, and some
of them work, and some of them don't.
I have the messages in question stored in a PST, and I'm using the Advanced
tab of the Filter dialog to set the conditions I want for the automatic
formatting. I'm using multiple conditions, so that's why I'm using the
Advanced tab, and in all cases I'm looking for a string of text within the
message body.
The view that doesn't work is the one that searches for my manager's last
name. However, I did find one circumstance where the view worked and that was
when his name appeared in ALL CAPS in one message. In another instance, I set
the view to look for messages containing some server names and to bold the
subject of the message so I could identify it. This view does not work at all.
Any thoughts?
