Hi Y'all,
Happy New Year!
The good folks on this forum have been very helpful in the past, and so I hope I can find some solutions again. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I recently loaded Outlook 2003 onto a new dual HDD raid array running XP Pro SP2. I used the same OL'03 software as was used on my previous HDD/OS. Two changes were evident after firing it up anew.
1. The font style, size and color are correct in all respects except they appear bold in my reading pane, and in the reply to or forward message panes. I have seen how the text appears at the receiving end of sent messages. It isn't bold on the other end, so the bold issue must require an internal adjustment to the OL display settings somewhere. And I've searched the threads here with no success.
Question: How do I change the font from bold to normal as displayed in the reading pane, replys and forwards? Not a big deal... I would just prefer to see what I sent in the format I sent it.
2. I include a company logo/picture in my business email signature... and it's hyperlinked to the company website. It is not hosted on a server and then retrieved into the email on either end of transmission... it's a picture from file. When I reloaded OL, I had to recreate the HTML signature and logo w/ hyperlink using advanced editor (Word) as before. It doesn't seem to show as an attachment on the other end either (a concern I've seen expressed here in other threads) except where the email account security feature requires the recipient to "open" pictures. The problem I'm having is that when I mouse over the logo/hyperlink in my OL sent items and inbox (because I also cc myself), the small yellow hyperlink display box shows this...
blocked::http://www.companyname.com/
(with "companyname" substituted here for our true domain)
... although I can still click the link and it takes me to our website. I've experimented with this using multiple external email accounts including Hotmail, G-Mail and Mail.com, and it does not show the box or any link information on the other end where tested... the arrow simply turns to hand and I can link to our site.
Question: How can I stop the hyperlink from displaying as shown above? It's unsettling to wonder if it shows as "blocked" within untested recipient's emails. Showing "blocked" may create a question as to whether my reipient should click the link or not.
Thanks again for your help!
