Hi,
I have Entourage 2004 v11.1.0 on my PowerMac. I have had this problem for a
while, but since I am also seeing this on my G4 laptop, I became concerned
enough for solutions to my problem. Both are on 10.3.8.
Essentially my previous and current certificates are not up-to-date for
encryption. So I downloaded the most recent ones (there are no problems with
this since other Mac users have downloaded and installed it). So when I
start-up Entourage, I get this dialog which says --" Unable to establish
secure connection to ... because correct root certificate is not installed".
I click ok and mail starts synching unencrypted. However, recently I went
thru' the process of installing the correct 'previous' and 'current' cer
files. There is a link on the dialog box which goes to the appropriate page
in MS Office Help, with instructions on how to add the certificates with
x509 Anchors. When I clicked ok and authenticated it, another error dialog
box came back which said: "An error completed: Unable to import an item. The
specified item already exists in the keychain."
When I clicked on keychain, it brings up the certificates under my login
name and the System name. There were none in the name of X509 Anchors where
I could delete any old certs, if at all possible.
Has anybody seen this before or has any suggestions for any fix?
Thanks

P.S. The only difference between the other Mac users at my center and me, is
they have Active directory installed and I don't, if that may be of issue.
