problem with contacts folder

B

Brendan Burgess

I had a problem with opening Outlook on a pc which I was about to change anyway
I set up the new p
I worked with it happily for a month, but I didn't have all the old emails or addresses
Today I copied the datafile from the old pc to the new pc and everything is fine, but..

When I click on To: in order to send an email I get "the contacts folder associated with this address book could not be opened" I can see all the addresses in the address book, but I just can't use them

What version of Outlook are you using, and if 98 or 2000, what mail support
mode? If you're not sure, look at the second line of Help | About Microsoft
Outlook -- it should say "Internet Mail Only" or "Corporate/Workgroup".
(Outlook 97, 2002, and 2003 don't have separate modes.)
