problem with database engine

Every time I start up Outlook I get a message that says, "there is a problem
connecting to the database engine. Click retry or click on Help." After
canceling the action a message states, "make sure you have permission to
access this data. If the problem persists, contact support."

When I cancel this action box, I can retrieve my emails and things seem to
be fine.

Is there a easy fix for this? Please advise.
