Hi Everyone,
I have a big problem with the default method for reporting progress on task.
I’m the system administrator and I set the default method to be “Actual work
done and work remainingâ€. Everything is working smoothly, each team member
report as requested.
The problem starts every morning. From some strange reason when I get back
to work in the morning I noticed that the default setting has been change to
“ Hours of work done per a day or a weekâ€. I’m the only one with administrate
permissions and I didn’t change it.
The processes that are running every night are backup for the database and
update (as defined in the admin) in this order. I can’t think of any thing
else that change over the night.
The big problem is that even if I change back the default method to be as I
want the new projects and the new tasks in the old one still report the
incorrect method in the timesheet view. (I published using the “Overwrite
actual work†option)
One more note, I set in the PWA that every project must use the reporting
process as defined in the PWA. (I make sure that this is current in every
single project – on published fields).
The only way to resolve this problem is by restore the server database using
the previous night back up. In this case we need to backup the project first,
restore, copy the projects and republish them again.
We can’t work like this every day!!!
This is stopping us from working, as we like.
Any suggestions???
