problem with encoded text

Hi, i would like to know how can i recover my assignment
if now it is showing it in word as just characteres and
no words, how could i change it to what it was before,

Hi Sandra,

I suspect that you've changed the font, somehow, to
something like zapf dingbats or wingdings. To undo that,
open the document and press Ctrl-A. Then select another
font from the toolbar (eg Arial or Times New Roman).

If this effect happened immediately you changed the font
in a particular paragraph, it may be caused by the
underlying style being set to automatically update. If it
happens again, undo the formatting change, then go into
Format|Style|Modify and uncheck the 'automatically update'
box.
