problem with endnotes

Hello,
I need to insert my endnotes to appear at the end of a section. I followed
the menu options when setting up an endnote, but they continue to appear at
the end of the document. How can I get them into the right place in the
document?

Keith,

You need to be in normal view. You then click on "insert"
click on footnotes. When you get there you need to go to
where it says "end of section" click on that and you
should then get the endnotes in the proper place. I hope
this helps

Hi Sandra,

Thanks very much for your comment. I did what you suggested to insert an
endnote into the first section of a document with two sections. Still, the
endnotes are at the very end of the document. It's a puzzle. I must be
doing something else wrong.

If this is Word 2002, go to the Layout tab of Page Setup and make sure that
"Suppress endnotes" is not checked for Section 1.
