Problem with enterprise custom field names in PWA

I created four spolight indicator fields, two for projects(budget and
schedule) and two for tasks. i used Enterprise Project duration/cost 1
and Enterprise Task duration/cost . I use SV% and CV% as the basis for
my formula (used threshold). I renamed these fields appropriatley and
the show up correctly in Project Pro with the correct names and
calculations. The problem arises when i create a Project Center view
and a Project view.

With the project center view, the name that appears in PWA is "Text 3"
for Enterprise Project Duration 1 (I renamed it to "Project schedule")
while the name for Enterprise Project Cost 1( I renamed to "Project
Budget") is "Enterprise Project Text 1" .

With the project view, the name that appears in PWA is "Finish 3" for
Enterprise Project Duration 1 (I renamed it to "Date Slippage") while
the name for Enterprise Task Cost 1( I renamed to "Task Budget") is
"Enterprise Resource Multi-Value 28" .

This is VERY weird. has anyone encoutered a similar problem?? I do not
think that i have a corrupted EG otherwise the fields would not show up
in project pro right?? Any help will be appriciated..... Thanks

Hi Nana,
There is an earlier post that addressed this.
Do a search on this forum for "custom field headings in PWA" and you'll find
it.

I did the search but the specific article did not have any replies. The
others have instructions which i followed to no avail (republish all
projects)

Nana,

In the Enterprise Global, have you renamed all of the custom fields you are
talking about to the names you want displayed by:

Checking out the Enterprise Global
Selecting Tools, Customise, Enterprise Fields
Then selecting the field and clicking on Rename button.
Entering the new name and then OK.
Then saving Enterrprise Global and republishing all projects.

If you have done this, exited Project Server, then reconnected to PWA and
still have the problem, I'm afraid I can't advise further.

I would have expected the changes would take place.

Thanks for you suggestions....

I did all this but the names are still not changing. I even recreated
my Enterprise Global from scratch to no avail. The only options i seem
to have now is to contact Micro$oft of reinstall :(

Nana,

This is a known issue and it is currently being investigated. This issue is
being tracked as hotfix number 17504.
