Problem with ExportAsFixedFormat

Hi
I'm experiencing an intermittent problem with the ExportAsFixedFormat
function. The bottom line is the pdf is generated with different fonts when
compared to the original template. It looks like the defined fonts are
completely ignored.

What is even more strange is that 5 out of 20 documents are generating like
this.

Any ideas?

Are you seeing different fonts when viewed on the same PC that generated the
PDFs or on different PCs?

In either case, which fonts are used by the Excel template?

Are the fonts in fact installed on the PC that generates the PDF? If fonts are
missing, both Excel and Acrobat/Reader will substitute available fonts for the
missing ones, but the way they go about it is quite different. They may choose
different substitute fonts.

Hi Steve

The pdf's are opened and printed on the same machine that generates the
templates and converts the pdfs. The wierd thing is one template will be
converted to a PDF 100% correct, and another will generate with the incorrect
fonts (same template, same fonts as the other that generated correctly).

I've spoken and logged this problem with Microsoft Tech Support who reported
it to systems engineers in Germany, they looked in the problem and came back
to me that they can't help because the "SaveAsPDF" is a 3rd party add in....

I'm using a 3rd party plug-in in the mean time but its slower to generate.

Odd. It doesn't mention anything about "third party" or "unsupported" on the
download page.

Have you tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, including powering down the PC
completely and restarting it?

Does the problem "follow" specific PPT files? That is, if you open the same pair of
files and make PDF again, does the same one fail each time? What if you move the
problem file to another PC and make PDF there? Same problem?

I'm trying to get an idea whether the problem might be a corrupt PPT file or a
problem with Office, or Office on that particular PC
