Problem with flash component in Frontpage

This is a difficult problem to explain......I've never seen this problem
before.
I created a flash file for the homepage of www.bytebloc.com . When I click
on a link in IE, only on a LAPTOP, the page "jumps" up and it takes two
clicks to get to the link. This doesn't happen on a desktop, it doesn't
happen on any Mac (including laptops) and it doesn't happen when I use
Firefox.
If you have a laptop, go to www.bytebloc.com and try it on IE.
Thanks....

Not sure, but I'm curious as to why you've used a static Flash file. Looks
great though!

I used flash so that I could have the rollovers on the page....it was the only way I knew how to create those rollovers.

I'm no expert on SEO but I believe that page is not gonna help you with
search engine ranking. There's not much there a search engine spider will
see. Also, if your viewer doesn't use flash what's gonna happen?

Don't get me wrong I love the look. BUT...in my experience with ER's (my
wife runs one) is that I've never seen anyone in an ER sitting around
playing with their laptops ! :)

Also, in IE you have to click on the flash image to enable it's use..I think
it's a relatively new security thing, maybe that's part of the jumping
issue(?)

SEO is a tricky subject....ByteBloc software advertises on google so they are listed on the right hand side of the search results page. They have been around since 1989 and most of their clients they meet going ot conferences...
The partners picked the photo on the homepage to suggest that doctors can
create and change their work schedule online...it's a very good product.
In terms of flash, I haven't heard anyone comment that they aren't using
Flash...but I understand your point. I have been thinking about changing the
homepage. The skipping has got me baffled.....for some reason, like I said
earlier, the skipping only occurs when I use a laptop in IE...not on a
desktop. Did you experience the skipping?
Thanks for you comments...

I personally do not allow the scripting necessary to view flash. I leave a
site immediately that uses flash. I don't need or want the eye candy, just
the information.

Yes, I see the hop only on initial page load i think though.

I'm gonna return to the site and look at the software later.

I decided to get rid of the flash page and replace it with html. I have a
program called jbots that contains various javascripts for Frontpage. I
created a new homepage and it wil be up and running in a few days. Thanks
for your comments.
