Problem with form allowing changes to be made from certain computers

We are having a problem opening a form on two out of four computers we've tried it on that is linked to a a network. This is the error message. "The Data has been changed. Another user edited this record and saved the changes before you attempted to save your changes. Re-edit the record.

As soon as you open the form and select a pull down box, you get the error message and then all the cells begin to "Blink", like your scrolling non-stop with your mouse through the records, but it never leaves the current record

No one else has the database open or is making any changes while this is going on. We are at a complete loss, Please Help!

this is a common problem and there are many ways to tackle it, but first go onto your server and see if the file is "hanging"-ie. can you see and .ldb extension file anywhere? If you can come back to me.
