Problem with form fields in Word docs

In Word 2000, I created a doc with a few form fields. They work fine for me,
but on another user's machine, the page appears with odd boxes near the
right margin, with titles like "Deleted" and "Formatted: Normal". He's
running Office 2003, which I have no experience with. Via his Word options
dialog box, is there something to switch off to eliminate these annoyances?

It sounds like there are unaccepted/rejected Tracked Changes in the
document and Office 2003 is exposing them. Considering they display
revisions that have been made to the document they are a little more
than mere "annoyances". In Word 2000 track changes/revisions they
could be removed from view but unfortunately users were unaware of the
revisions in the document and were sending them out full of revisions.
Then, of course, many would find themselves embarrassed for various
reasons. So in Word 2002 they added security functionality to
automatically show any tracked changes in the document upon opening.

What you need to do is open your form, go to Tools/Revisions and make
sure "Mark Revisions While Editing" is turned off and if you want to
see the changes that have been made, turn on "Show Revisions on
Screen". Then to remove the revisions use the "Accept All" or "Reject
All" commands.
