Problem with ghost letters showing up on screen

So, I'm having this problem with ghost letters that pop up
on my screen. For example, I could be typing this message
in Excel, or Word, or anything Windows related (Including
Internet Explorer) and all of a sudden random symbols
start popping up that would look @#$5xxx somet@*^thing
like this@%...

Does anyone know how to fix a problem like this?
