Problem with graphs in Access 2003

Dan

I posted this in the "Reports & Printing" section
yesterday, but with no response. Hope someone here can
help. Since upgrading to Access 2003, every time I open a
report containing a graph, the "installing components for
Microsoft Graph" routine starts up. If I hit "Cancel",
the graph opens immediately. Tried converting the Access
2000 file to Access 2003, but that didn't fix it. Any
help would be appreciated.

Dan,

I haven't had this problem, so this is a bit of wild
guess, but does your app have a reference to the Graph
type library? You don't need it just to build a chart;
only to manipulate it in VB - but maybe Access 2003 is
trying to install the type library because there's a
reference to it.

Hope this helps,

Eric

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't have the reference to
that library selected. I tried adding it, but that didn't
make any difference. I couldn't find anything in the
Knowledge Base about this issue, so maybe I've got some
kind of unique configuration problem. I tried
reinstalling Office 2003, but that didn't help.

Perhaps the embedded graph is the wrong version? Try
deleting the graph object and inserting a new one.
