Problem with Group by drop-down in Open from MS Project Server dialog box in MS Project Professional

I have an Enterprise Outline Code called PBS containing values like
Active, Internal, Closed and so on. When I choose Group By on the Open
dialog box almost all projects gets sorted under "No value". About 75%
of the projects are incorrect, the rest are correct.
(It is not a multi-value field.)
If I open one of these projects and check the Project Information
dialog box the value are correct. If I choose edit on the project in
PWA - Project center the value are correct and it is also correct in
the OLAPcube.

I have tried to republish the projects with the same value and with a
new value in this field but still getting the "No Value" when I make
group by on the Open dialog box.

microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is going to
close down. Before we can answer your question, please tell us what SP you
have applied to Project Server. You should be using SP2a. Let us know.

It might be just SP2. Where can I see the difference between SP2 and
SP2a?
