problem with highlight

when i was highlight the text in the selected paragraphs, and then i tried to
delete it with press the highligth button and selected none,, and failed..
i've been tried to check the auto format ,,but still gave the same result..
please help me,,because i need this to complete my bachelor graduation.. i m

You must select the highlighted text before changing the highlight to None.
Alternatively, you can use Find and Replace to remove the highlighting
globally. It is entirely unobvious how to do this, but here's how:

1. Ctrl+H to open the Replace dialog.

2. Leaving the "Find what" box empty, click More and choose Format |
Highlight. You'll see "Format: Highlight" appear under the box.

3. Move the insertion point to the (empty) "Replace with" box and choose
Format | Highlight. Again, you'll see "Format: Highlight."

4. Here's the kicker: Choose Format | Highlight again and you'll see
"Format: Not Highlight."

5. Replace All.
