Problem with importing project to enterprise

H

Haris

Hi,
We're planning to shift our enterprise projects to a new Project Server
database by saving all the projects offline as .mpp files and then using the
"Import project to enterprise" feature.
Before going ahead with that, I created a dummy project and assigned it to a
couple of enterprise resources. Then I had some actuals submitted by those
resources. After that, I saved the project offline and deleted it from
Project Server through Clean up project server database.
I successfully imported the project to enterprise and republished it. But
now when I go to 'Project Center' and select the said project to view the
details, I get the following error message:
--
There is no information to display in this view

Either the project manager has not published the project plan or there is no
information in the project plan to display.
--

After that I even had actuals submitted on the project by the enterprise
resources and successfully accepted the task changes. Even then the same
error appears.
What could cause this? Or did I miss anything?
Any guidance in this regard would be appreciated.

Regards,
Haris

You need to both Publish all information, and then republish the assignments
selecting the box to overwrite actual work on the timesheets. Did you do
that?

Gary:

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've tried doing both 'Publish All Information'
and 'Republish Assignments' choosing the "Entire Project" option. But the
option "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" appeards disabled,
regardless of the options selected in "Republish Assignments for:" drop down.
Is it because we're using managed time periods? How should i go about it in
this case? Or else please guide me about it.
Thanks again!

Haris

Haris:

If you're using managed time periods, you need to disable them long enough
to complete this action.
