Problem with Installer looking for 511229.OUTLOOKop.msp

Mike

When I use office XP CD and try and reinstall or
reconfigure my office systyem, windows installer comes up
with a message that it is looking for a file called:

511229.OUTLOOKop.msp (case accurate)

This is a patch file but I cannot find it anywhere. Do I
have a corrupted registry? It there some way I can either
fix the registry orget hold of the file so Installer
stops looking for it?
Hoping someone can help?
Regards Mike

Mike,

It sounds like the file has been removed from the \Installer folder on your
drive. In this case, I suggest you:

1. Uninstall Office via the Add/Remove Programs control panel.
2. Reinstall Office and any/all service packs/updates.

Please let me know if you are unable to uninstall Office via the Add/Remove
Programs control panel.
