Problem with installing outlook 2002 and 2003 on same computer?

I just bought an HP IPAQ (pocket pc) and I set up the synchronizing function
to my desktop.
Problem: Desktop had Microsoft Outlook 2003, and the CD with my HP IPAQ to
set up synchronization with desktop had Outlook 2002 on it, so know I get all
kinds of error messages when I try to open up either. Notes it cant open up
files and go to default folder when I try to access Outlook 2002, then I
tried Outlook 2003 and it will also not let me access anything.

I have never used Outlook 2003 that came with my computer, can I just remove
that program and reinstall Outlook 2002 that came with my HP IPAQ- will that
solve the problem?

You cannot install two versions of Outlook on a single Windows installation.
Not sure what you did but the best way to go would be to uninstall both and
reinstall the one of your choice. Outlook 2003 will work just fine with your
iPAQ. Just make usre that you also install ActiveSync.
