Problem with issues and risks in PWA and SPS

H

Haris

Hi,
I've deployment of PWA with Project Web Access logins and SPS deployment
with Windows logins for authentication. Whenever a user, who has tasks
assigned to him/her in a project, tries to create an issue or risk using PWA
or SPS website of the project, he/she is unable to see any tasks in the
"Affected Tasks" option or any other options for selecting the project tasks.
Whats creating problem here? Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Regards,
Haris

Haris:

Firstly, you cannot use Windows SharePoint Services using Project Server
Authentication. In order to use any functionality provided by WSS, your
users must have Windows Authenticated accounts. Next, if you are using
SharePoint Portal Server, which is very different from WSS, then you've
introduced other complications that need to be addressed during
installation. Please verify that this is what you've done.

Gary:

Thanks for your response. I'm sorry if my last post was confusing, I have
installation of WSS being used for management of issues and risks. And what I
understand from your post is that I'll have to move my PWA user
authentication to windows authentication for making use of WSS risks and
issues feature.
If there are any additional measures, kindly advise.
Looking forward.
