I attended a launch tour event and got the CD to download office 2007. I
downloaded the two files. I had problems installing the first file, until I
figured out that it was missing the exe extension. I added that and then was
able to install Office. In general, everything seems to be working.
However, I keep on getting e-mails from Microsoft, saying that my trial
version is about to expire. I checked the "About" parts of the Office
components, but none of them indicates anything about this being a trial
version. It just says "Part of Microsoft Office Profesional 2007". I also
checked the "Add / Remove" section of Windows. It also just says "Microsoft
Office Profesional 2007".
My understanding was that this version is the full version, not a trial
version. Am I wrong? If not, why do I keep getting those reminder e-mails? I
contacted MS support, but their response was useless: "Go buy the full
version".
Any help/clarification would be appreciated.
Thanks.
